The Established in 2005 by former President Bill Clinton, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) is a group of influential people around convened global and emerging leaders to creat and implement solutions to the world who wish to work 's most pressing challenges. CGI brought together more than 200 sitting and former heads of state, more than 20 Nobel laureates, and hundreds of leading corporate CEOs, Presidents of foundations, Executive Directors of the most effective NGOs, and major philanthropists to make improvements commit to ittake action against these challenges. They banded together in order to fight a wide variety of issues around the globe today including things all the way from climate change to people's health. The CGI accomplishes this through inspiration, networking, knowledge building, and collaboration of its members with a variety of communities. The CGI boasts an impressive array of members including heads of states, nobel prize winners, and much more.
