The Faculty faculty at Kettering University tends to integrate I&E into the courses through open-ended projects and assignments. The Faculty does not fail to emphasize the importance of I&E in any discipline or major , and provides they provide students an opportunity with opportunities to display their I&E skills in the classroom , and to inspire or get inspired. While there have been some courses offered at Kettering University traditionally in order to engage students with I&E, there are many new ones as Kettering gears up to overhaul its I&E program. The University has recently introduced a Multidisciplinary I&E minor/concentration that has grabbed student attention. The students will be working with Kettering Entrepreneurship Society as a part of the program. Below is a list of these new courses: 1. INEN 101 – Innovation and Entrepreneurship Mindset 2. INEN 201 – Innovation and Entrepreneurship Case Studies 3. INEN 202 – Innovative Idea Development 4. INEN 401 – Business Model Development 5. INEN 402 – Prototyping and Commercialization
Programs dedicated to I&E have been proposed in the past, but currently the only dedicated curriculum related to I&E is a minor in entrepreneurship offered by the school's business department. Many forces throughout the school wish to push a more non-traditional approach to I&E, but none have taken hold so far.
