==Bio==
I am originally Shafeqah Mordecai, from a Goldsboro, NC where . I attended North Carolina Central University and graduated with a BS in Criminal Justice and a minor in Family and Consumer Science. There I met and married my husband, and we have three children. Throughout the six years after receiving my bachelor's degree, I gained experience working in facilities for children, and with children from Goldsboro pre-school to high school. Today, I am the registrar at Arundel High School , and a grad student at Bowie State University in 1997the School Counseling program. I earned have a passion for working with and advocating for African American girls. In my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2001 from North Carolina Central Universityfree time I enjoy reading and watching movies, on Netflix.
==Achievements==
I was a member of the 2019-2020 Leadership Development Institute (LDI) for Anne Arundel County Public Schools. LDI is a program that cultivates leaders from within AACPS and enhance partnerships between the school system and local businesses.
