===Why is this project important to you, your department, & your Fellows?===
We strive to create awareness for sustainable innovative solutions on campus as well as about UIF in general. To come up with novel ideas, we organize events with external speakers that engage our students, faculty and university to become change-makers.
===Description===
The main goal of our FIF-project is to create awareness for sustainability issues on campus. Moreover, we intend to create more awareness about UIF in general with the goal of developing innovative solutions, especially for problems we find related to sustainability. In order to derive novel ideas and solutions, in the next two years (and beyond), we organize events on and off-campus for our students (not limited to the current UIF cohort). Learning from external speakers, such as industry experts from key industries in our area (Hamburg), researchers, and startup entrepreneurs, we enrich the regular learning experience, improve knowledge exchange between university and industry, and engage our students, faculty and university to become sustainable change-makers. After the two year FIF-project period, a result is a map of sustainable initiatives in and around Hamburg including key sustainability stakeholders.

===Key Milestones===
* December 2022: Complete one event with external speakers/partners and create awareness for the topic of sustainability @ TUHH in connection with UIF
* March 2023: Organize a second event with external partners for TUHH students and employees as well as students from other universities in and around Hamburg (HAW, Uni Hamburg, Leuphana University, Kühne Logistics University etc.) on sustainable innovations in connection with UIF
* June 2023: Complete a third event and follow-up work on the previous event with participants and partners
* September 2023: Complete a meetup with partners and participants from the first events and the UIF team @ TUHH
* December 2023: Organize another event on sustainable innovations in cooperation with external partners, TUHH students and employees as well as students and employees from other universities
* March 2024: Another meetup with industry and researchers carried out successfully
