The Dhanekula Institute of Engineering & Technology trains undergraduate and postgraduate students in Engineering for award of B.Tech and M.Tech degree respectively from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.

Dhanekula Institute of Engineering and Technology established in the year 2009 at Ganguru, Vijayawada, Krishna (Dist) is the first of its kind educational institution founded by Sri.Dhanekula Ravindranadh Tagore, a living legend who is famous for his versatility and excellence in promoting various agricultural and industrial organizations and known for his love and affection towards the man kind - improving their standard of living with his meticulous, measured efforts. There is no doubt in saying that in future this institution would be the touch-stone of technical expertise in and around the third world countries.

With its global standards it aims at cultivating a learner centered teaching environment imparting engineering education. Education is inseparable from the real life. The purpose of Education is to equip the student with an all-round development in solving the real life situations. Institution strive to promote rich academic environment with a special focus on innovative methodologies in teaching learning by giving an exposure to the cutting edge competence to the students in meeting the future employment challenges.

Affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, accredited by NAAC, it aims at providing a sound technical knowledge and broad vision to the technocrats of future - as they are prepared for a successful tomorrow. 

 

PROMOTING STUDENT ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The culture of our institution is a shared system of values, beliefs and attitudes that shapes and enhances the behavior. The primary focus is not only to educate the students but also to inspire them to be innovative and hence could contribute for the development of the society. Along with various regular academic bodies institution also had Entrepreneurship Development Cell, who intends to develop entrepreneurship spirit among the student community. It also had an MOU with Global Business Incubator since 2010 to cultivate and promote innovation skills. The cell organizes different activities and events under Global Business Incubator (GBI). Many startup programs are being conducted under the entrepreneurship cell to inculcate Entrepreneurial Spirit among the Science & Technology students, were as in the last session three startups has come to reality. The mission is to promote entrepreneurship-led innovation, thereby creating "nation of entrepreneurs" driven by creativity, initiative, risk taking, discipline, and personal development.

 

FACULTY INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Research and Development committee of the institution continuously strives to involve faculty in research and development by conducting technology awareness programs in campus and also by driving the faculty to attend programs outside the campus. Further different research groups were formed by interested faculty in the departments (Communication, VLSI, Embedded, alternate fuels Etc.) inviting student nominees. Faculties were actively involved in publishing research papers in Scopus journals.  Internal funding policy for research has been provisioned from the current academic year for further development of the research and innovation activities. 


UNIVERSITY TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER FUNCTION

Institution has MOUs with various organizations for sharing of knowledge/technology for benefit of both. Through these the faculty and students were facilitated to interact with the peers in the area by attending conferences and seminars conducted in house and outside the campus. Further the student’s innovative projects were sponsored by the institution through a policy. Our institution has students and faculty to accomplish their projects. Institution has also an Innovative Forum operated by students to express their innovative ideas and exhibit technical skills.
