<span style="font-size:small;">Aracely Mejia is a University Innovation Fellow. Aracely She is a junior studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor minors in Computer Engineeringand Computer Science. She is a First-Generation student from Mexican immigrant parentson the path to pursuing her P.h.D in Biomedical Engineering after UP. As the vice president of the UP Biomedical Engineering Society, she is currently working with Enabling the Future Project and creating 3D printed prosethic hands for children.</span>
<span style="font-size:small;">Aracely is a First-Generation student from Mexican immigrant parents.&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size:small;">She is passionate about first-generation students and is currently a student coordinator at UP for the FGEN program. Aracely is heavily involved in STEM outreach for low-income schools in the Portland communitythrough her position as the UP Robotics STEM Outreach Coordinator. Through the National University Innovation Fellowship Program, she is working to impact a low-income high school with diverse students by providing a professional pre-health elective on the university campus. Aracely is always looking to do more because she wants a higher impact to happen, and she loves to learn and help her community and family.You will often catch her painting, writing, or making projects for friends in the UP Makerspace.&nbsp;</span>
