It is an intensive, structured, innovation workshop where students work together to uncover possible solutions to various problems. These students will achieve this by following the Design Thinking Process to empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test, and validate their solutions with others.</span></span> == <span><brspan style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Many times, students relate entrepreneurship and innovation to business majors. While this can be the case, Design Start will be an opportunity to open these topics to everyone. Design Start will be held on January 11th and 12th, which is the start of a new semester. This will allow students to more easily attend before classes become more demanding.</span> </span> <span><span style=="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Another aspect of Design Start is the collaboration between universities. This program will be open to students from many different colleges and universities in the Grand Rapids area. This will allow for a melting pot of students to come and work together.</span></span>
