In middle school, Rachel took the opportunity to co-lead a three-year group project that provided humanitarian effort to citizens of Haiti. Working with the organization, Healing Hands for Haiti, Rachel created fundraiser events and marketing videos for her school to fundraise needed supplies for those great need. As a teenager, she participated in a HEFY program, traveling to Tonga to aid in humanitarian efforts. Rachel has also dedicated one-and-a-half years to religious service in Northern Japan. In Japan, amidst her religious service, Rachel volunteered as a weekly English teacher for families. Looking toward the future, Rachel hopes to continue traveling around the globe engaging in projects that will benefit the communities she visits.
Rachel has always loved to be creative and make good things happen. She hopes to pursue a career in business that will allow her to use her passion for creativity and social innovation to make the world a better place.
