<p style="text-align: center;">[[File:MurthySPicture.jpg]]</p><div>Sandeep Murthy, who also goes by Sunny, is a University Innovation Fellow Candidate and Undergraduate at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. He is currently majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry. </div><div><br/></div><div>Sunny's science background includes several research projects consisting of analyzing protein-protein interactions to increase crop yield, stroke mortality rates as part of a summer program at Yale School of Medicine, and the potential use of thermoacoustic engines in nuclear reactors. He has discovered a passion for entrepreneurship as well and founded a marketing consulting company. On the side, Sunny is a well-known menswear influencer, GQ insider, and HP Millennial Influencer.</div><div><br/></div><div>Sunny's five-year plan includes attending a dual degree MD/MBA program, launching a small-scale tech startup, and continuing to make opportunities to live life to its fullest. </div><div><br/></div><div>He believes the University Innovation Fellow program will allow the VT team to create a more inclusive community that focuses on multidisciplinary practice and experiential learning.
