<span style="font-size: large;">'''Caroline Best'''</span> <span style="font-size: medium;">is a sophomore majoring in civil engineering and minoring in mathematical sciences at Western New England University ([http://www1.wne.edu/ WNEU]). Growing up, Caroline enjoyed everything from Tinkertoys to Lincoln Logs to Legos and K'NEX. This sparked her interest in engineering and motivated her to take pre-engineering classes in high school, which is where she decided on civil engineering. In high school she also participated in a Career Exploration Internship Program which led to a paid internship the following summer. <span style="font-size: medium;">On campus, Caroline is involved in many organizations, such as Society of Women Engineers (SWE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Entrepreneurship Club, Solar Decathlon, and multiple honor societies. This past year, she devoted herself to planning events for her school as the Secretary for her college's Campus Activities Board (CAB). Caroline is a First Year Seminar Assistant where she helps first year students transition academically and is responsible for grading assignments. Also related to the first year program, Caroline is a Women in STEM Peer Tutor for one of the freshman residence halls.</span>
<span style="font-size: medium;">Caroline is passionate and committed to her involvement and academics. She's currently working with others in her leadership circle to create an innovation space on campus. When she does have some free time, Caroline enjoys skiing and hiking.</span>
