Amélia Vega is a University Innovation Fellow and undergraduate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst studying Urban Agriculture, Entrepreneurship and Psychology. She works as a Personal Care Assistant for a student with disabilities and as a marketing coordinator for the campus's Industrial Engineering sector. Amélia is dedicated about sharing the value of interdisciplinary learning and consistently others to take initiative. She has done work with several food justice conferences and continues to work towards food accessibility and stability for marginalized populations.

Amélia is Secretary and founding member of UMass Amherst's Social Entrepreneurship Club and is very enthusiastic about combining sustainable solutions with business and entrepreneurship. She is dedicated to social and environmental justice. In her spare time, she enjoys working at a food bank, giving back to the local community in need and helping spread the movement towards a more just food distribution. Amélia hopes to one day start a business regarding holistic medicine that uses food as preventive medicine.
