[[File:Dave snow prfile.jpg|thumb|Dave snow prfile.jpg]]David Phillips is a 3<sup>rd</sup> year PhD candidate in the Department of Human Physiology at the University of Oregon. He is specializing in upper extremity biomechanics and is investigating proprioception and supraspinatus torque at the shoulder for his dissertation.
David is from South Africa where he completed his BA in Human Movement Science and a BA(Hons) degree in Sports Science. After graduating at the end of 2010 he started a business called SportsEye which provided 2D functional movement analysis screening, game play analysis and coaching interventions for school and club teams. In 2011 he relocated to Miami, Fl and enrolled in a masters program in Biomechanics at Barry University. Midway through 2012 he closed SportsEye and focused on academics. He completed his MS in Spring 2013 and enrolled in the PhD program at UO in Fall 2013. He is a member of the American Society of Biomechanics and Phi Beta Delta International Scholars Honor Society. His teaching responsibilities have been in biomechanics, anatomy, biostatistics and medical terminology.
