<span style="font-size: small; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Joel Cazares is a University Innovation Fellow from the Fall 2015 cohort.&nbsp; He is an industrial engineering and foreign languages&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;">student [[File:JoelCazares.jpg|thumb|JoelCazares.jpg]]at&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;">New&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;">Mexico State University.&nbsp; He was born and raised in Hatch, New Mexico.&nbsp; Joel is very passionate about STEM education and is always looking for ways to excite and motivate high-school students to pursue a degree in engineering.&nbsp; He is a student assistant for the College of Engineering and helps with the college’s outreach programs, which include two robotics competitions and multiple summer camps.&nbsp;</span>  
<span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;">Joel has been the president of the NMSU Associated General Contractors and has been a part of the NMSU Bidding Competition Team.&nbsp; He is a member of the NMSU Institute of Industrial Engineers and is representing the IE department as a Student Ambassador.&nbsp; On his free time, Joel likes to spend time with friends and family, read, and on occasion play his guitar. &nbsp;</span>
