Emily Platt is a sophomore at James Madison University, majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics. Besides her classes Emily is a very active member of the JMU campus. She is an associate manger of the energy sector for JMU’s student led investment fund and works on the board of the Women in Leadership Conference, helping the women of JMU to transfer from college to career. Emily also has a passion for entrepreneurship and started her first business, Cooler Than That, her freshman year in college. Because her business has helped her learn so much, Emily wants to help other students learn how to be entrepreneurial. She believes becoming a member of UIF will help her do this.
This summer Emily will be working as an investment banking summer analyst for Wells Fargo Securities in Charlotte, NC.
