Use dedicated funds to bring more speakers to campus :
Invite more organizations *In the past year we have brought a handful of speakers to campus and I want to increase that number greatly*Speakers provide a fantastic insight to the working world and encourage people to be active *Contacting the alumni office on campus to pull names and emails for potential speakers *Speak with Brian Morello and other leaders on campus to see if they would like to give a talk *Speak with local industry and companies to lead Hack-see if they could take time out of their day to give a-thons on Campuspresentation or talk *By bringing speakers to campus the goal is to encourage people to start their own ideas and ventures
Invite more organizations and companies to lead Hack-a-thons on Campus : *As it stands, the hack-a-thon community at Beloit it lacking. It is present but weak. *Bring local tech companies to lead day long hack-a-thons at their leisure*Create interesting topics to have people think about and create a MVP for. *Show students the ease at which a venture can be started and remove the idea of it being daunting. *Make a community that encourages frequent creation and working together as teams. *Go out into the community of Beloit and lead community based hack-a-thons to encourage local creation and development.
