Short Bio:Jeff Niu is currently an investor at Prospect Avenue Capital (PAC), a growth investment fund focusing on technology ventures in China.
An education entrepreneur and experience designerPrior to joining PAC, Jeff Niu is the co-founder led Product Innovation & Experience at Genetron Health (Nasdaq: GTH), where he worked with public health officials and now board advisor of the China Youth Business League—an experiential learning platform that enables students across in China clinical partners to discover business through competitive simulations commercialize early cancer screening technologies and conferencesdesign new systems empowering patient care.
A native of Flushing, NY, and frequent resident of Beijing, Jeff has always been deeply connected to his roots in China. Since 2013, he has designed or advised numerous youth leadership programs in both North America and Asia, including ''XINnovation: Identity of Innovation in China'', ''Wharton China Youth MBA Institute, ''and the ''Columbia World Leaders Forum''.
As A builder and storyteller at heart, Jeff’s previous work experiences include IDEO, a Yenching Scholar at Peking Universityglobal design company, and Base FX, Jeff Asia’s leading visual effects studio. He is currently researching also the role Co-founder of design in bolstering China’s innovation quotient in the China Youth Business League (CYBL), a national business competition and educationplatform. He earned his BA from Columbia University His courses on human centered research methods and Sciences Po Parisventure design continue to be taught at universities in Beijing.
Outside An avid fan of workgeeky adventures, Jeff enjoys a good adventure, both in the wild and can usually be found on the big screen. At homeweekend watching Sci-Fi flicks, playing board games, you can usually find him in kitchen cooking and dancing with or puzzling his dog Almondway out of an escape room. He hopes to open a hidden teahouse in Beijing’s hutongs—soon!
Jeff completed his MA at Peking University, where he was a Yenching Scholar, and received his Dual BA magna cum laude from Columbia University and Sciences Po Paris.
