Changes

Jesse Bartel is from Lyons, Colorado, and is currently studying Civil Engineering as a sophomore Sophomore at George Fox University as a Civil Engineering majorin Newberg, Oregon. From a small town  Jesse was born and raised in Colorado, where she learned from a young age to love and appreciate the outdoors. Whether , whether it be fly fishing, backpacking or riding her bike, she finds spending time outside teaches her many different lessons. Despite being a Colorado native, she loves to travel and from a young age knew travel helped try things to push her out of her comfort zone. She continues to seek this in her time in college in Oregon, and hopes to out of college as well. Despite being a math and science fan throughout high school and college, she loves reading and her favorite books are ''The Last Lecture '' and ''East of Eden''. In addition to what we can learn from the design of the mathematical side of things, she also enjoys learning through reading books and human connection. Her passions reside in talking to new people and getting to know what makes them tick. Jesse hopes to use these passions in addition to studying engineering in efforts to serve those around her.
