<span style="font-size: 13px; font-family: Arial; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Karuna Relwani is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Bioengineering with a Certificate in Engineering for Humanity. She is the co-founder of Engineers for Sustainable Medical Development (ESMD). This student organization connects undergraduate engineering and pre-health students who desire to gain design experience, funding, and resources to build low-cost, high-impact health care products with </span><span style="font-size: 13px; font-family: Arial; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span style="vertical-align: baseline;">physicians and researchers with clinical needs.</span> Karuna is currently an undergraduate researcher for UPitt as well as CMU and has been an active University Innovation Fellow since 2012.</span>
