Hi, my name is Jade Overton and I am a student at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, a Historically Black College/University. I am studying Hospitality Management with a minor in Culinary Arts. I am currently the president of a catering organization on camous called, Pineapple Express. Pineapple Express is a premier catering organization that caters on and off campus and in operated entirely by students of many different disciplines. I am also a member of the UMES student Senate that make descisions on behalf of the student body of the university. As a University Innovation Fellow I plan to bring an innovation/entrepreneusrship ecosystem to the university by changing the culture to that of innovation and entrepreneurship. By succeeding in this effort I hope to see many advancements at UMES involving STEM and other areas in the near future.
