She is originally from Sammamish, WA, and moved to San Diego to attend college. As an aspiring elementary school teacher, one of the most important things to know about Riley is that she is determined to work to develop the education system into a place that cultivates enthusiastic life-long learners who are equipped to participate in the world beyond school. </span></span>

Her role specifically is the Changemaker Student Committee Coordinator, meaning she has the opportunity to plan and facilitate meetings that expose student committee members to different aspects of changemaking. It was through the Changemaker Hub at USD that she was exposed to the University Innovation Fellowship program.</span></span>

She hopes to incorporate creative writing and dance into her classroom teaching one day.</span>
