She is involved in a biomaterials research lab as well as GEAR Enterprise, a student engineering team working to improve and innovate outdoor&nbsp;recreation&nbsp;equipment. As a new University Innovation Fellow Candidate, Carly hopes to inspire students at Michigan Tech to do what they are passionate about and collaborate more across departments. She enjoys learning about other cultures and spent eight months living in Chile and Argentina in 2015.
