= Faculty Innovation and Entrepreneurship<br/> =

Many professors are currently doing perform research on something which they plan to turn develop into a product in the futuresfuture, and others have already started companies through their research.</span></span>

With the help of VentureWell, faculty members were able to attend a workshop in the month of February 2014. They received similar training to that which the University Innovation Fellows are receiving receive but on a higher level.</span></span>

Something that which would combine aspects of the business and engineering curriculum curricula to create a are an area of study for students that are interested in entrepreneurship.</span></span> <span id="docs-internal-guid-bc653010-336b-837f-327f-595d1f353465"><span style="font-size: 15px; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(68, 68, 68); background-color: transparent; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Currently under construction on Tennessee Tech’s campus is a Maker Space made possible through the collaborative efforts of faculty from both the College of Business and the College of Engineering. The vision for the Maker Space is to provide a space for students from all colleges to work together on projects in an innovative environment. The space will be equipped with a 3D printer, media room, and workspace for Maker activities.</span></span>
