<br/>Gretchen Mayes is a third-year Accounting and Communication student at William Jewell College. While exploring college options she was sure that [[File:Gretchen Mayes.jpeg|thumb]]engineering was her path, but after a rough experience during physics in high school her path soon changed into accounting. Gretchen is interested in exploring ways to run companies more effectively by making finances more user friendly. She loves playing with numbers to help a company increase profits. She does the money side of things so business owners can focus on the project. At William Jewell she is involved in Jewell Communication and Theatre Society, Jewell Business Today publication, Cardinal Host, NCAA Division 2 Track Athlete, and Alpha Gamma Delta Women's Fraternity. Outside of class Gretchen is actively involved in volunteering in the 4-H program along with restoring a 110 year old house.
