Juli Caputo studied Audiovisual Engineering at Universidad Católica del Uruguay (UCU), where she became a fellow in 2017 as the first cohort at UCU. Short after that, she became part of the university's I&E Center where she was in charge of the coordination and execution of awareness and training activities and workshops on I&E, with university and pre-university students. She also started teaching innovation classes for business, law and educational recreation students. It was during her time there that she became Faculty Champion helping 4 cohorts and 20 students become change agents.
At In 2018 and 2019 she was part of the organizing team of LOOP: Semana de la Innovación (Innovation Week), among with a group of students. This event was a week long hackathon to tackle different challenges on social issues among the moment by teaching innovation at Universidad Católica del Uruguay community, and robotics also the very first two UIF Regional Meetups in a ONG at juvenile detention centerLatin America.
Julieta Caputo is In 2021 she started working with a University Innovation Fellow in training. She is currently studying through the second year of gender equality company as a career specialized in Audiovisual Engineeringphotographer, at Universidad Católica del Uruguay (UCU). She is an art lover designer and science enthusiast who would like, after universityfacilitator, to develop strategies for closing the gender gap in the work on her own innovative projects combining technology, education and art. Julieta is also planning on deepening her studies in other areas such as educational recreation and visual arts-field.
As everything must como to an end, and beyond all her fears, in October 2023 she dropped everything to pursue her dream of traveling around the world and boarded on a three months trip around Europe (the first of many more). So if you are delaying your dreams because you are afraid, this is is your sign to do it anyway (because if somehow you've found this wiki and also read this far, this is definitely a sign for you). Back at Uruguay she is currently teaching innovation and project design at UCU, and robotics in a ONG at a juvenile detention center (INISA, National Institute of Adolescent Social Inclusion) and kids in foster care and vulnerability situations (INAU, Institute for Children and Adolescents of Uruguay), while also being part of a couple of volunteer projects (and planning the next trip). For the last few several years she has been working as a volunteer with in the social project Cerrando Brechas (Closing Gaps) as part of the general coordination, logistics and didactics team. This community project consists of a recreational week for kids and teens who in summer, due to their socioeconomic situation, cannot enjoy the vacations that others can., sharing games and workshops for more than 150 kids from her community, making seeking to transmit values and being offer a space for them to have fun and develop their skills. She es also part of various educational the project Ver el Mar (See the Sea) that brings kids in the inland countryside of the country, that do not have the resources to travel out of their area, to get to know the sea and recreational activitiesthe beach for the first time while also visiting Montevideo, the capital of the country, allowing her and experiencing a lot of new things that may seem common to discovering a love us but are astonishing for educationthem (like going to the cinema or using an elevator. Last but not least, she remains part had the amazing and transforming opportunity to be a FAB at the 2022 and 2023 Meetups while meeting the most incredible people (and friends).
