Pierre Kapiamba Mbala is a nine-teen-year-old Congolese male who is studying Engineering and African African American Diaspora Studies at James Madison University (JMU) on the full-tuition scholarship Centennial Scholars. He is moved by Through the unjustified levels Centennial Scholars program Pierre has completed over 100 hours of community service while working with people most marginalized. This work along with his life long passion of child exploitation supporting teens in the Democratic Republic of the Congo where children as young as 6 (DRC) who are snared ensnared in precious mineral mining operationsis why he hopes to create a non-profit that aims to increase the educational opportunities of Congolese teens.
