Kartikey Sharma is a University Innovation Fellow and sophomore at the University of Richmond, majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. Growing up in various cities around India, Kartikey developed a fondness for reading, playing soccer, math, and doodling behind his notebook - something which developed into a lasting passion for creating things. He left Jaipur in 2018 to study at the University of Richmond as a Richmond Scholar, attracted by the liberal arts model and the strong professor-student connections that the univeristy fosters.&nbsp;<br/><br/>At the University of Richmond, Kartikey is involved with research on difference sets: mathematical objects which are at the heart of error-free wireless communication. With his friends, he also designed an app called Erdos to provide a platform for collaboration and ideation to communities such as hackathons and universities. He is on the Bollywood Jhatkas dance troupe, and is also a part of the executive board of the South Asian Student Alliance.<br/><br/>With the University Innovation Fellows program, Kartikey hopes to be a more active member of the UR community and to use entrepreneurial techniques to help the campus be more entrepreneurial.&nbsp;
