Passionate about education equity and equality, Will Walker, a junior at the University of Richmond, explores his passions through a leadership studies and English double major while minoring in gender studies. Will is currently exploring the ways that discrimination and inequality impact marginalized communities in higher education settings. On a typical “academic day” he can be found reading about financial aid policies, admissions criteria, and the social environments of public and private American institutions. Outside of his academic interest, Will also has a passion for creative processes such as writing, photography and digital design. He is the current editor in chief of Forum Magazine, a student publication of the University of Richmond, and he actively writes and designs for a number of other university publications and platforms. In addition to the University Innovations Fellows Program, Will, is actively involved on-campus as a resident assistant, an intern for the office of undergraduate admission, and a communications associate for the school of arts of sciences.

William "Will" Walker, Jr. (he/him) is an alumnus of the University of Richmond and a former University Innovation Fellow. As a student at the University of Richmond, Will pursued and completed a Bachelor's degree in Leadership Studies, with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS). He was also one course shy of completing the requirements for a minor in English. As a student leader at the University of Richmond, Will was passionate and vocal about institutional innovation aimed at transforming the university experience for students with underrepresented identities. Evidence of his leadership during this time can be found in the editorials he published in the university's student-run newspaper, as well as in his multiple leadership positions. For example, Will proudly served as the editor-in-chief of Forum Magazine, a resident assistant, a Bonner Scholar, a member of the Richmond College Student Government Association, a student Writing Consultant/Coach, a student-staff member of UR Athletics, and a Peer Mentor through the PAM program.
