Mik is from Hendersonville, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville, and enjoys competitive distance running, fountain pen collecting and intercollegiate debate in their free time. They are also the programs director 88.5 FM WTTU The Nest, Tennessee Tech's student radio station, where they enjoy teaching younger the students the art of live radio broadcast and podcasting. Following undergraduate work, Mik will attend graduate school to study political and gender rhetoric. Mik's ultimate goal is to teach communication and rhetoric at a collegiate level, and to coach debate and forensics. The project Mik will be working on is to open a televisoin broadcast studio at Tennessee Tech. The studio has been on campus for several years, but has sat dormant and unavailable to th student body.
