David Syverson is a University Innovation Fellow and is currently a junior undergraduate studying Food Science as well as Food Safety at North Dakota State University. He grew up in a town by the Mississippi south of the Twin Cities in Minnesota called Hastings, MN. David’s initial interest in Food Science was sparked by everyday chemistry and nutritional aspects in food. Being involved as a the Vice President of the Food Science and Safety Club along with working as a lab assistant for professors at NDSU has helped him develop the quickly growing major. Through his involvement in organizations he has been able to encourage students to active in the Food Science Community.
