| − | Kenshin Matsumoto is a University Innovation Fellow and an undergraduate student studying ecology at Tohoku University in Japan. He is interested in animal behavior and animal conservation. He was born in Tokyo and spent 6 years, then moved to Gunma. His interest in nature was cultivated in Gunma, full of mountains and rivers. He loves camping, fishing, and climbing with his friends. When he entered Tohoku University, he moved to Sendai and started learning biology. He was exposed to the University Innovation Fellows there.

| − | Kenshin is majoring in ecology of science faculty at Tohoku University and researching Japanese serow (antelope goats). He is involved in a boxing club there and competes in a tournament. When he was in his third year, he went to Charlotte, the United States to study ecology. That experience changed his life. He knew how interesting to communicate with people from different backgrounds. Also, he got to know he is good at talking naturally with new people and making friends. While he was studying abroad, he joined many activities. For example, he was involved in an international relationship community and held some events. Therefore, he started doing many things in school.

| − | As mentioned above, Kenshin is interested in nature and animals. In 2023, he was selected as a Japanese representative in ecology by the Japanese government when he studied abroad. He met many other representatives in many fields. They also expanded his view. He is now thinking about starting a business related to nature. His creative thinking was well evaluated. In 2024, he is working in a startup community in Sendai. Using his creativity and connections, Kenshin is working energetically in research, school, and outside of school. In school, He is motivated to make connections among universities in Sendai to make chemical reactions to them.
