Brooke is a San Diego native who started at Utah Valley University two years ago, and is now a Senior. She is a Behavio
ral Sciences major who completed theSubstance Use Disorder Counseling program at UVU, has six years of professional experience working with recovering addicts and alcoholics, and recently interned for Utah County’s Drug Court. She is the recipient of several competitive research grants, with projects focused on improving the justice system’s understanding of addiction. She hopes to use her UIF training to launch the Wolverine Fund at UVU this Fall. She aspires to pursue a dual PhD/JD after she graduates in the Spring of 2018, and dreams of one day retiring in the mountains and opening a dog rescue facility.
