This interest attracted Alex to pursue competing in design competitions at Bucknell, as well as taking on the responsibility of co-leading the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Affinity House on campus during the 2014-2015 school year. Managing a budget provided both by the Affinity Housing program and the College of Engineering, the E & I House was able to provide residents with opportunity to learn from successful designers, innovators, and makers through speaker dinners and off-campus trips.</span><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial; font-size: 14.666666666666666px; line-height: 1.38; white-space: pre-wrap; background-color: transparent;">This coming year, Alex is excited to become a University Innovation Fellow in order to create more programming and opportunities for students to embrace and grow their problem solving and creative abilities.</span>

Alex Breakstone is a Mechanical Engineer in New Product Development for Beckman Coulter Life Sciences. Alex currently lives in Miami,FL but will be moving to Longmont, CO June 2019.

Alex Graduated from Bucknell University in May 2017, and was a member of the UIF class of 2016.

From Westfield, New Jersey, Alex is passionate about competitive road cycling and the outdoors, pursuing these passions as a previous president of the Bucknell University Cycling Team and leader for the Bucknell's Outdoor Education and Leadership Program.
