Kayla Lett is a University Innovation Fellow. She is a student at Grand Valley State University studying Product Design and Manufacturing Engineering. She is involved in Social Innovation Club and Society of Women Engineers. She enjoys rock climbing, working with animals, participating in theater and developing programs and products to help better the community. She has worked for a horse camp for preschool aged children for 4 years and enjoys helping them develop social skills, learn to ride horses and explore the world around them. She had the opportunity to work at GVSU's STEPS camp, a program that encourages girls to get involved in the STEM field and learn various aspects of engineering. She has been involved in the youth sector of her local Rotary club and has used these connections to complete several local and global aid projects including fundraising for cancer treatments and bringing clean water to the people of Haiti.
