David Bacher is a mechancal engineering student at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. He is originally from Eatonville, Washington, near Mount Rainier National Park, where he spent much of his childhood.

David is passionate about science and technology, particularly its ability to serve the community. He marvels at the way scientific discovery is applied to solve problems and make people's lives better. He hopes to one day apply his own talents to making scientific discoveries in the field of space exploration.

In addition to his studies, David volunteers in George Fox's Rapid Prototyping lab, where he maintains and operates a host of additive manufacturing technology as well as assists students with their 3D printing projects. He also enjoys music and plays the Trumpet in the GFU Symphonic Band.
