The Dhanekula Institute of Engineering & Technology trains undergraduate and postgraduate students in Engineering for award of B.Tech and M.Tech degree respectively from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.

~~= '''PROMOTING STUDENT ENTREPRENEURSHIP''' =~~</div>> The culture of our institution is a shared system of values, beliefs and attitudes that shapes and enhances the behavior. The primary focus is not only to educate the students but also to inspire them to be innovative and hence could contribute for the development of the society. Along with various regular academic bodies institution also had Entrepreneurship Development Cell, who intends to develop entrepreneurship spirit among the student community. It also had an MOU with Global Business Incubator since 2010 to cultivate and promote innovation skills. The cell organizes different activities and events under Global Business Incubator (GBI). Many startup programs are being conducted under the entrepreneurship cell to inculcate Entrepreneurial Spirit among the Science & Technology students, were as in the last session three startups has come to reality. The mission is to promote entrepreneurship-led innovation, thereby creating "nation of entrepreneurs" driven by creativity, initiative, risk taking, discipline, and personal development.

Research and Development committee of the institution continuously strives to involve faculty in research and development by conducting technology awareness programs in campus and also by driving the faculty to attend programs outside the campus. Further different research groups were formed by interested faculty in the departments (Communication, VLSI, Embedded, alternate fuels Etc.) inviting student nominees. Faculties were actively involved in publishing research papers in Scopus journals.  Internal funding policy for research has been provisioned from the current academic year for further development of the research and innovation activities.

Industry Institution Partnership cell (IIPC) takes the responsibility of developing effective relations with the industry around through regular interaction with the industries and entering MOUs. In addition to the regular curriculum of industrial visits all the students of the institution will be attending an internship/training in the industry for atleast two months in their course period in maximum three slots. IIPC of the institution interacts with the industries continuously  in identifying the needs of the industry and strives to bridge the gap by giving inputs to the internal training committee of the institution, which actively and spontaneously conducts works shops and training programs. We have Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and two other programs working effectively towards the growth of our institution funds. These programs are meant to create awareness on the current issues and thereby attract the funding from the alumni, through which University will have their technology, equipment needed gets updated.  They also conduct events under National Skill Development Council (NSDC). In the vacations faculty move to rural areas to create awareness on Digital Literacy.

Institution has active students under National Service Scheme (NSS) Committee serving local communities in empowering, along with Government and non-Government bodies through various programs (Digital Literacy Program in association with APSSDC, Digital India in association with Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and Banking sectors).
