Nicole Green is a University Innovation Fellow from the Spring 2015 cohort. She graduated from University Wisconsin Milwaukee Fall 2014 with Design and Visual Communications, Peck School of the Arts. Registered for graduate school to pursue MS Management through Lubar Business School in Fall 2015. Obsessed with the design process, Nicole enjoys working in a team of motivated individuals to find a new innovative solution. She is also fascinated with business practices and incorporating enterprise behavior within design.

Nicole is creating her own business centered on a mobile/web app called Ginkgo. It offers a solution to caring for elderly loved ones amongst a large network. The application originated from a class project and has now won several awards including the UWM Design Entrepreneur Showcase, UWM CEO 2 Minute Pitch Competition, and UWM Student Startup Challenge. It was also presented at the National CEO 90 Second Pitch Competition in Florida Fall 2015.

Currently Nicole holds a position at UWM Mobile Innovation Lab also known on campus as the App Brewery as a UI/UX designer. This position has given her a unique opportunity to be introduced to Milwaukee’s Bradley Tech. She is focused in creating a successful environment for teens to be introduced to entrepreneurship at a younger age.

In addition, Nicole is a graphic designer and creative at Translator Digital Cafe in Milwaukee's Third Ward. Translator is a design agency that concentrates on solving the right problem through a unique process that involves customer discovery. Translator is connected to initiatives across Milwaukee to continue an innovative and creative community.

Other interests include cooking scrumptious meals, DIY projects, rollerskating through Wisconsin and spending time with family and friends. She is dedicated, compassionate and always eager to learn something new.
