Kofi Afriyie is a junior civil engineering major at Morgan State University. In his quest to improve the depth  Kofi.jpeg.jpginfrastructural development and preserve environmentally friendly practices,he has conducted extensive research on wastewater and earthquake engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of California respectively. 



Kofi also strives to give back to his community and help other young people (minorities) come to appreciate the advantages of enrolling in STEM programs. This led him to volunteer in a number of after school programs and also work in a summer camp for high school students
