“Nothing is so complicated that it cannot be simplified by hard work”, is a quote that has guided me throughout my life. This inspirational quote has helped me to achieve most of my short term goals and reminds me that I must work even harder to achieve my long term goals. My name is Sherika Jacobs and I am currently a sophomore attending the University of the Virgin Islands as an Applied Mathematics Major in the 3-2 engineering program. My ultimate goal is to become a civil engineer and positively impact the world.
