Lauren Abston

University Innovation Fellow Spring 2014

Lauren is currently a junior at the University of Oklahoma who is expecting to graduate in May of 2015 with a degree in Economics and Entrepreneurship and a minor in Spanish. She is a University Innovation Fellow in training for the Spring 2014 program, and is excited to see what the program has to offer and discover how she can spread innovation on campus. At school, Lauren serves as the Team Lead for the Oklahoma Funding Accelerator, a student-run business consulting organization that works with local entrepreneurs to help start and expand their businesses. Since freshman year, Lauren has been involved with the Student Government Association where she currently serves as the Acting President’s Chief of Staff. As a National Merit Scholar, Lauren chose to go to OU, where she has learned to love football and jumped on board as an OKC Thunder fan. Concerned with the food industry and overall health, Lauren hopes to keep changing the way we eat for the better and eventually hopes to open her own co-working kitchen. During the summer of 2014, Lauren will be a Pricing Analyst Intern at Sam's Club.
