Bipol Alam is a junior Computer Science major at the Florida State University, Panama City campus. He enjoys boxing, fishing from his kayak, and is an avid (campus champion - no biggie) table tennis player.
Bipol is currently investing his time programming a new robotic addition to Florida State University, Sam E. Nole, as well as creating a mobile technology start-up with two of his fellow students. He also does I.T. work for a local small business, as well as provides software consulting for a waste-water start up,Aquaconeer.
After noticing the lack of support toward innovation on campus, Bipol is working to establish an "IdeaSpace" - a common ground for engineers to collaborate on projects. The Florida State Unversity, Panama City has fully backed the idea, and the IdeaSpace is slowly becoming a reality.
Futhermore, Bipol is deeply invested in various student organizations, specifically the Association of Computing Machinery and the Student Activities Commitee. His efforts have helped revitalize the Panama City Campus life that had stagnated over the years.
