Garry Jean-Pierre moved to the United States in 2011 to pursue his passion for electrical engineering. He currently attends UW-Milwaukee where he is actively involved in the WiscAMP scholar program, tutors for the College of Engineering and Science, and will be serving as a program representative to UW-Milwaukee's student government. Upon graduation, Garry plans to continue his education and earn his master's degree in engineering with a specialization in power electronics.

Academic Involvement:

WISCAMP Scholar:Participant in program designed to encourage involvement in STEM; Attended Biomedical Conference at Harvard - April 2014; Collaborated with other students on Interstellar Travel Challenge Project. Designed and developed a robotic prototype which could be used for planet exploration and sample collection and  identification - Jan 2014; Worked with faculty mentors on a research project to explore solutions to the global water crisis - Jan 2015. Participant in multiple other hands-on learning experiences.

Tutor for College of Engineering and Applied Science: Tutor math and engineering level 100-200 classes.
