Hey everyone, here’s a little bit about me! 💫

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lina founded the Menlo College Veg Club which works to bring awareness to the cruelty of factory farming and invites students to expand their horizons with new foods. With this, she also served as the Menlo College Student Government Wellness Representative (2019-2020) and now holds the position of Resident Assistant. Constantly growing and evolving, Lina uses these experiences to further understand the lived experiences of her community to effectively advocate for change where needed.

I’m passionate about community engagement and public service, so much that I earned my Master’s in Public Administration from UNLV (Go Rebels❗️). Along the way, I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the College of Education and had a blast connecting with fellow students as a Grad Rebel Ambassador. I'm currently working in the Community Services & Engagement department at the City of North Las Vegas, supporting vibrant events, meaningful outreach, and projects that connect our community to valuable resources! 🤝🏼

Lina's long-term goals include earning a dual J.D./M.B.A. degree from UC Berkeley and running a non-profit organization.

While working on my Business degree with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Menlo College '22, I had the chance to dive into many exciting projects, like founding The Veg Club, serving as Wellness Representative in Student Government, and being selected as a University Innovation Fellow through Stanford’s d.school - which helped me grow as a leader and creative problem-solver 💭 .

During this time, I interned for an exciting law/tech startup, HelloPrenup 💍, which was featured on Shark Tank! I also sharpened my advocacy skills 🗣️ through programs like Engaged Latina Leadership Activist (ELLA) and Policy, Advocacy, Leadership and Action (PALA) with the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley.
