Bio
Tatiana Avila is a Informatics Engineering student at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), where she combines her passion for technology with a strong social commitment. Since her school years and specially at the High-Performance School (COAR) Junín, she stood out as both an academic and social leader, being recognized as the top student of her class for five consecutive years, which granted her a full university scholarship.
From an early age, Tatiana cultivated discipline and perseverance as a basketball player and team captain, qualities she carried into her academic and leadership journey. During the International Baccalaureate program, she led social projects and founded a debate club at COAR Junín, successfully integrating the institution into the Peruvian School Debate League. She has also participated in debate, entrepreneurship, startups, and hackathon competitions, achieving first place in a national Artificial Intelligence hackathon by developing, together with her team, a robot capable of detecting body temperature and mask usage during the pandemic.
Currently, Tatiana is deeply engaged in the university innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. She is part of the leadership team at Breakout, a community that seeks to increase student participation in innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives through bootcamps and training programs. In 2025, she participated in the Hult Prize, the world’s largest student entrepreneurship competition, reaching the national stage with WorkEasy, a startup that connects tradespeople with individuals in need of services quickly, safely, and with geolocation.
Her purpose lies at the intersection of technology, innovation, and social change, with a special focus on education (SDG 4) and gender equality (SDG 5). Tatiana aims to empower more women in STEM, drive projects with sustainable impact, and foster an inclusive ecosystem where knowledge transforms into real opportunities.
Convinced that every person has the power to change the world, Tatiana continues to strengthen her profile as a changemaker and a future leader in purpose-driven technology.
