Jeni Weber is a former University Innovation Fellow who graduated earned her Bachelors degree in Marketing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in April of 2017(UAB). Her sophomore year of collegeShe's spent the past 6+ years doing marketing for education technology companies, she worked seeing two companies through to acquisition. She currently works for a tech an AI education startup, Satterfield Technologies, . <br /> <br />Jeni's introduction to startups was in 2015 when she joined the first student -created startup company of the UAB's Innovation Lab at Innovation Depot, Satterfield Technologies. She worked on business models, branding, and outreach. This work allowed her to rapidly learn through the Innovation Lab's mentors and hands-on experience . It was her introduction initiation to the world of innovation, and entrepreneurship. Jeni became a University Innovation Fellow in the Fall of 2016, and technologyattended the Silicon Valley Meetups in March 2017 and November 2017. It led to her joining her fellow students Her work as a Fellow while in school involved creating and maintaining the UAB MakerSpaceMakerspace, a student-run organization dedicated to giving users hub for innovation and entrepreneurship on campus.<br /><br />But most of Jeni's work as a place to bring their ideas to lifeFellow happened ''after'' graduating. Her senior yearSince 2018, she became a Jeni has annually interviewed candidates for the University Innovation Fellow, continued to work Fellows program. She's supported new fellows at maintaining and improving campuses around the UAB MakerSpace, and worked with her cohort and faculty to try to reframe the freshman experience world through their 6-week UIF training and implement changes in the university’s core curriculumbeyond. She has had helped host the privilege of attending the March 2017 Silicon Valley Meetup Meetups as a "FAB" in March 2022 and March 2023, as well as the ui5 design event at Stanford first University of Twente Meetup in November 2017April 2024. She wrote the article "A Guide to Sharing Your Work" for the first edition of ''Change Forward'', a UIF publication. Jeni has once took a Bachelor personality test and discovered that 4 out of Science degree in Marketing 5 of her top strengths have to do with empathizing with a concentration in Marketing Managementand supporting other people. Since graduating, she moved She realized two things after taking that test: 1) what makes the UIF program so special to Southern California, does marketing consulting for small businesses, works at a yoga studioher is the human connection, and 2) her favorite way to contribute to the UIF program is using design thinking to build her dream career by supporting incoming Fellows and lifetheir mentors. <br /><br />
