In terms of academics, Menlo College offers its students are passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation; except, there are only minimal assets for them the opportunity to utilize on campus. Entrepreneurship is offered as a major for those pursuing a business degree and is a growing major at Menlo Collegeminor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. The large presence of clubs Entrepreneurship program focuses on campus gives students the extracurricular opportunities to explore their areas building student's understanding of interest, such as the Pioneer Clubdesign thinking, an organization strictly designed for entrepreneurs and creative thinkers alike. Another club where students are exposed ability to innovation is the Paks Innovation Club. There is This void has led to a lack of awareness surrounding entrepreneruship regarding entrepreneurship and innovation on campus. Ultimatelyamong our student body, this deprives students from pursuing ultimately hindering their ability to pursue innovative business ideas as well as learning the steps and develop them to fully develop their ideasfull potential.
While the surrounding areas have experienced significant economic growth over the past five years, our students face challenges in accessing and engaging with these opportunities. Menlo College, as an institution, is now striving to catch up with the progress seen in neighboring organizations. There is considerable room for improvement in connecting our students to valuable local resources, such as conferences, lectures, company tours, and more.
The prevailing focus on securing employment and internships on campus is beginning to overshadow the university's original entrepreneurial spirit.
