Erik Anderson was born and raise in Fargo, North Dakota. As a natural entrepreneur, he started Erik’s Cutting Edge Lawn & Snow Care in 5th grade. This experience helped Erik win the Schulze Innovation scholarship, a four year, full tuition scholarship sponsored by Dick Schulze, Founder of Best Buy. At the University of St. Thomas, he studied Entrepreneurship with a minor in business of healthcare. Erik also served as the captain of the Men's Track and Field team, specializing in the hurdle events.
Erik was on the 2019-2020 UIF Team after successfully implementing a new curriculum for the first year students, adding a resource to inform students of all the support systems in place. Erik was able to attend the 2022 Silicon Valley Meet up after a few years of COVID delays.
Currently, Erik Anderson is works as a Schulze Innovation Scholar at The University of St. Thomas with an intended double major development associate for Scannell Properties in Entrepreneurship and Managementthe Minneapolis office. He recognizes and pursues opportunities Erik works on large scale industrial developments across the US, with an innovative mindset. As a 5th grader, he started his first business, Erik’s Cutting Edge Lawn & Snow Care. The business grew into a business that served 20+ clients and has been focus in operation for 6+ years, it was also certified by the state of North Dakota. He also served as the Vice President of North Dakota DECA while leading his Football and Track & field teams as the head captainSoutheastern region. While at St. Thomas, Erik became the Grand Champion of the Earth Day Innovate-Athon. He is extremely excited to meet other innovative students and complete support this Programprogram.
