Khalifa University of Science and Technology is the outcome of three incredible engineering-based universities. The Petroleum Institute University and Research Center, Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, and Khalifa University of Science, Technology, and Research. In October 2019 , Khalifa University ranked first in the UAE, second in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, and among the top 200 globally in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2020 by Subject: Engineering and Technology. This owing is due to the extensive engineering and medical courses the university has to offer, in addition to the UAE’s leading research centers where challenges are addressed in a systematic manner following innovative methods prospering from focus groups of a team-based culture.
