Organizing a Startup Weekend event is a good idea and it has many benefits. It helps people that work can be done efficiently in a better way, work in collaboration with others to achieve a single aim. As a volunteer, it gave them the sense to work in a team and taking responsibilities making them a good manager and a leader.
Iam interested to organizing an entrepreneurship startup in campus. It's a good way to reach students but we are also face a problem that my campus has hundred of thousands students with many background.
This was a good overview of the steps to host a successful event. This can be used as a template for putting together the stakeholders meeting that UIF candidates are asked to do. The stakeholders meeting is on a smaller scale, but can use some of this advice.
Hosting a Startup Weekend could be a great idea to motivate new entrants to explore the full range of careers.
