In recognition of "outstanding academic achievement", a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition. I received this award for the fall 2019 semester.

National Merit Scholarship winners are the Finalists in each state judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies. These Scholars were selected by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors, who appraised a substantial amount of information submitted by both the Finalists and their high schools: the academic record, including difficulty level of subjects studied and grades earned; scores from two standardized tests; contributions and leadership in school and community activities; an essay written by the Finalist; and a recommendation written by a high school official.

Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Since its inception in 1911, only four percent of Scouts have earned this rank after a lengthy review process. This involved the Eagle Scout Project for creating a bridge for Capital Area Christian Church (now Vibrant) in Mechanicsburg, PA to span a creek and expand their walking trail.
