I found really interesting the fact that you have to know how many people are interested on developing an idea. Personally, I would have avoided that part, and just launched that program. Also I think that having the opportunity that big companies can finance some projects, or even your University can do that is really amazing. In my Uni, you have to pass many filters in order to achieve some kind of founding, and at the long term, they took advantage of your idea and use it to promote their entrepreneurial spirit, I don't think that it's a bad movement, because they finance your idea, and they should have something on return, but maybe there are other better options for you to pay them back.
